अनेक देशो में किए शो 2008 में रोमियो का विदेशी सफर शुरू हो गया अमेरिका के एक टीवी चैनल द्वारा रोमियो को लेकर एक फिल्म एक्स्ट्रा आर्डीनेटर पीप्लज बनाई गई जिसकी शूटिंग अमेरिका तथा इंगलैंड के विभिन्न शहरों में हुई। 2009 में रोमियो परिवार सहित इंगलैंड, जापान, फिनलैंड तथा दोबारा अमेरिका गया जहां विभिन्न टीवी चैनल्स पर रोमियो के शो प्रसारित किए गए।

पिता अनिल देव एक सरकारी स्कूल में अध्यापक हैं जबकि मां राकेश बाला गृहिणी हैं। रोमियो की बड़ी बहन मीनाक्षी एमसीए कर रही है तथा छोटा भाई आशीष देव बीए प्रथम भाग का छात्र है। जन्म के समय रोमियो बहुत छोटे कद का था। मां बाप ने समझा शायद कमजोर होने के कारण ऐसा है। परंतु ऐसा नहीं था उम्र के बढ़ने के साथ साथ रोमियो का कद या भार नहीं बढ़ा। रोमियो शुरु से ही काफी एक्टिव था। जब उसने स्कूल जाना शुरु किया तो कद के कारण सहपाठी उसे छोटे कद के कारण चिढ़ाते थे। जिस कारण उसे पढ़ाई छोड़नी पड़ी रोमियो पांचवीं कक्षा तक ही पढ़ सका।


शुरु शुरु में रोमियो की मां उसे घर से बाहर नहीं जाने देती थी तथा खुद भी कभी उसे गोद में उठाकर नहीं ले जाती थी। परंतु परिजनों को यह नहीं पता था जिस बच्चे को आज वे बाहर ले जाने से कतराते हैं, वही बच्चा उन्हें एक दिन विदेशों की सैर भी करवाएगा।






शोभायात्रा के दौरान किया जैजी बी का डांस2006 में रोमियो पहली बार घर की दहलीज से बाहर निकला तथा उसने जालंधर में राम नवमी की शोभा यात्रा के दौरान जैजी बी के गाने पर उन्हीं के भेष में डांस किया। इसके बाद रोमियो ने मुड़कर नहीं देखा। 2006-07 में रोमियो का नाम गिनीज रिकार्ड आफ रिकार्ड तथा लिम्का बुक आफ इंडिया में स्मालेस्ट बॉडी बिल्डर आफ वल्र्ड के तौर पर दर्ज किया गया। जिसके बाद उसकी ख्याति विदेशों तक फैल गई। 2007 में एक निजी चैनल पर प्रसारित शो शाबाश इंडिया में भी रोमियो ने परफॉर्म किया। 2009 में भारतीय टीवी कार्यक्रम इंटरटेनमेंट के लिए कुछ भी करेगा में भी परफॉर्म किया तथा अजब देश की गजब कहानियां कार्यक्रम में भी एक एपीसोड रोमियो पर ही आधारित था।


2006 में मिली प्रसिद्धिआदित्य देव उर्फ रोमियो 15 अगस्त 2006 को स्टार टीवी पर प्रसारित एक कार्यक्रम का भी हिस्सा बना जिसमे देश में अलग अलग हिस्सों से आए विलक्षण लोगों ने हिस्सा लिया था। रोमियो के शौक को देखते हुए परिजनों ने उसे जिम ज्वाईंन करवा दिया जहां कोच रणजीत पाल पाबला की देखरेख में डांसर रोमियो एक बॉडी बिल्डर के रुप में भी दुनिया के सामने आया। महज 9 किलोग्राम का रोमियो डेढ़ किलो का डंबल उठा लेता था।




अनेक देशो में किए शो 2008 में रोमियो का विदेशी सफर शुरू हो गया अमेरिका के एक टीवी चैनल द्वारा रोमियो को लेकर एक फिल्म एक्स्ट्रा आर्डीनेटर पीप्लज बनाई गई जिसकी शूटिंग अमेरिका तथा इंगलैंड के विभिन्न शहरों में हुई। 2009 में रोमियो परिवार सहित इंगलैंड, जापान, फिनलैंड तथा दोबारा अमेरिका गया जहां विभिन्न टीवी चैनल्स पर रोमियो के शो प्रसारित किए गए।





जैजी बी से दीवानगी ने बनाया रोमियो रोमियो का बचपन से ही डांस का बहुत शौक था तथा वो जैजी बी का जबरदस्त फैन था। जैजी बी जैसे कपड़े पहनना, उसकी स्टाइल की टोपी तथा गले में बड़ा सा लॉकेट पहनना उसका शौक था। जैजी बी की एलबम रोमियो अक्सर आदित्य देव देखा करता था। जिसे देख देखकर वो बिल्कुल जैजी बी जैसा डांस करने लगा और धीरे धीरे रोमियो के नाम से मशहूर हो गया। अपने पहले डांस के दौरान भी उन्होंने जैजी बी की तरह कपड़े पहने व उन्हीं की तरह ही डांस किया। जैजी बी भी उसे अपना पक्का दोस्त समझते थे तथा भीड़ में दूर से देखकर उसे गोद में उठाकर स्टेज पर ले जाते थे।

अमेरिका के एबीसी न्यू चैनल पर गुड मॉर्निग अमेरिका में भी रोमियो का इंटरव्यू दिखाया गया। इसी प्रकार इंगलैंड पर रिपली चैनल पर बिलीव और नॉट का एक एपीसोड भी रोमियो पर फिल्माया गया। 2011 में रोमियो साउथ कोरिया भी एक टीवी शो में हिस्सा लेने गया।
